Terror in Ireland: 1 stabbed to death, 2 injured as heavily armed Muslim terrorist launches street rampage

One person has been stabbed to death and two others have been injured in what is being described as a series of random terror attacks by a Muslim terrorist in Ireland.

Gardai are said to have arrested a heavily-armed Muslim teen-terrorist born in North Africa and officers are investigating if three separate incidents are terror related.

The knife attack happened shortly before 9am in Dundalk and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Local sources have identified the terrorist as an 18-year-old Egyptian.

Three scenes were preserved for technical examination in Avenue Road, Inner Relief Road and Seatown, County Louth, police said.

The stabbing victim is a 24-year-old Japanese man, according to RTE, and the two injured in separate attacks are said to be Irish.

Their conditions are unknown at this stage and it is believed they were assaulted with an iron bar.

Police officers confronted and disarmed the Muslim terrorist, who was said to be carrying a number of weapons.
