One of the Muslim terrorists who murdered Rabbi Raziel Shevah near Havat Gilad last week, was eliminated and another terrorist was caught in Jenin by Yamam counter-terrorism forces on Wednesday night.
A soldier was lightly injured and another soldier was seriously injured in a gunfight that broke out between the forces and the terrorists.
According to initial reports, a number of Muslim terrorists were wounded and shortly before midnight, at least two terrorists had been arrested when the volley of bullets began as IDF soldiers were conducting an operation in the city.
Arab sources have reported that dozens of IDF vehicles entered the city and confiscated security cameras at gas stations.
The IDF operations came on the heels of developments earlier on Wednesday in the manhunt for the terrorists who murdered last week Rabbi Raziel Shevah in a drive-by shooting attack, with fresh information indicating that they fled to Jenin, rather than Shechem which security forces originally concluded.
Rabbi Shevah was murdered last Tuesday evening after being shot in the neck when Muslim terrorists opened fire on his car from a moving vehicle near Havat Gilad in Samaria
Raziel worked as a mohel (who performs the circumcision of babies) and volunteered in Magen David Adom (MDA. He is survived by his wife, Yael, and their six children: Renana, 10, Naomi, 8, Miriam, 6, Malka, 5, Ovadia, 3, and Benayahu, only 10 months old.
