US blocks UN Security Council statement on Hamas-sponsored riots along Gaza border

The United States on Saturday blocked a draft UN Security Council statement urging restraint and calling for an investigation of Hamas-led riots on the Gaza-Israel border that left 16 Muslim terrorists eliminated.

Kuwait, which represents Arab countries on the council, presented the proposed statement, which called for an “independent and transparent investigation” of the violence.

The draft council statement also expressed “grave concern at the situation at the border.”

And it reaffirmed “the right to peaceful protest” and expressed the council’s “sorrow at the loss of innocent Palestinian lives.”

The draft statement was circulated to the council on Friday, but on Saturday the United States raised objections and said it did not support its adoption.

 

The violence broke out on Friday after 45,000 Muslim terrorists rioted near the fence, threw rocks and firebombs, burned tires and attempted to infiltrate into Israel in order to murder Jews.

Over 1,400 people were also wounded, 758 main instigators were wounded by live fire, with the remainder hurt by rubber bullets and tear gas inhalation, the Gazan health ministry said.

Hamas claimed 5  terrorists eliminated were members of its Al-Qassam Brigades, whose sole mission is to murder Israelis.

A spokesman for PA chairman Abbas’ Fatah says 14 of the Muslim terrorists eliminated yesterday while trying to attack Israeli territory, were Fatah members, trying to outscore. By that he admits that none were peaceful protesters.

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman mocked those calling for an investigation, suggesting they may have gotten confused and though Hamas organized a music festival, and not a hostile march on Israel’s border cynically exploited by the terror organization to besmirch Israel’s name and sabotage border infrastructure.

“IDF soldiers repulsed Hamas military wing terrorists with determination and professionalism, just as we expected of them,” Liberman praised, adding he gives them his full backing, for they are the reason Israelis could “safely celebrate Passover Seder.”

 

 

 

US, UK soldiers killed fighting ISIS in Syria identified

A roadside bomb in the Syrian town of Manbij has killed two members of the US-led anti-ISIS coalition and injured five more. One of the killed was American and the other British.

Five other troops were injured in the explosion on March 29.

The US service member killed was a 36-year-old Army soldier from Texas. The Defense Department identified him Saturday as Master Sgt. Johnathan J. Dunbar of Austin.

Dunbar was assigned to the headquarters of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

 

The British Ministry of Defense has named the soldier killed in action in Syria on Thursday as 33-year-old Sergeant Matt Tonroe from the 3rd Battalion the Parachute Regiment.

The soldier was taking part in an anti-ISIS operation when the blast occurred on Thursday, a spokesman said.

The blast took place near Manbij, a city in the northeast of Aleppo governorate. Manbij was liberated from ISIS terrorists in August 2016, by US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the majority of whom are Kurds.

Since 2014 the coalition has provided weapons, training and other support to forces fighting ISIS jihadists in Syria and Iraq.

ISIS remains active in the Euphrates Basin area of northern Syria, as well as pockets further to the south.

Special forces units are known to be operating on the ground in Syria to secure areas retaken from ISIS – but officials have refused to comment on their activities or their existence.

“We want to thank the BDS movement in whose merit those Palestinians who have not yet seen ‘Fauda’ will now find a way to watch the series,” he said. “Just yesterday we talked with a friend in Gaza who didn’t stop praising the first season of the series.”

In a response to the letter, Avi Issacharoff, co-creator of the series, said he regretted the BDS action but welcomed the publicity.

“We want to thank the BDS movement in whose merit those Palestinians who have not yet seen ‘Fauda’ will now find a way to watch the series,” he said. “Just yesterday we talked with a friend in Gaza who didn’t stop praising the first season of the series.”

“It is regrettable to see the BDS movement trying to harm an Israeli work whatever it may be, no matter what its content,” he continued. “We have no choice but to wish them no success.”

There was no immediate response from Netflix Israel.

Pulse Muslim terrorist wanted to attack Disney with rifle hidden in stroller, his Jihadi widow reveals

Pulse Muslim terrorist Omar Mateen originally wanted to shoot up the heavily populated Disney Springs complex in Orlando with a rifle hidden in a stroller. But he became nervous by cops around him, so he headed to the gay nightclub on June 12, 2016, where he murdered 49 people.

Prosecutors made the revelation during closing arguments in the federal case against Mateen’s widow, Noor Salman.

A second-generation American, Salman was born into a well-to-do so-called Palestinian family who emigrated to California from Ramallah in the 1970s. Salman knew that his husband was planning a mass shooting, went on location scouting trips, accompanied her husband to buy ammunition and never warned authorities.

“The target of that terrorist attack was not the Pulse nightclub,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Sara Sweeney told the jury Wednesday morning. “The target of the attack was Disney.”

Mateen’s initial plot was to sneak the rifle into the shopping and dining resort in an infant’s carriage with a baby doll inside, Sweeney said in comments carried by the Orlando Sentinel.

Mateen, who had pledged allegiance to ISIS, was shot and eliminated in a firefight with cops at Pulse after the shooting attack.

A search of Mateen’s car turned up the stroller and the doll, the prosecutor added, both of which he bought at a Walmart the day before the terror attack.

Jurors, who are expected to begin deliberating on Salman’s fate Wednesday, saw photos of those items during the closing arguments.

Salman is charged with providing material support to a terrorist organization and obstruction. She faces life in prison if she’s convicted.

The 31-year-old Muslim widow of the terrorist is accused of helping her husband scout locations to murder in the name of ISIS, then covering for him to his parents and investigators after the terror attack.

Surveillance footage played in court Wednesday showed the Muslim terrorist strolling by the House of Blues.

The ISIS terrorist got scared at Disney Springs by a heavy presence of Orange County sheriff’s deputies, prosecutors said.

“He had to choose a new target,” Sweeney said.

Salman wasn’t aware her husband switched his plans, but the prosecutor argued that wasn’t important to proving she still helped him plan.

“She doesn’t have to know that his initial target didn’t work out,” she told the jurors.

Last week, the jury saw footage of Mateen, Salman and their son at Disney Springs less than a month before the massacre, buying the toddler a toy.

The government has accused the Jihadi wife of giving false statements about the number of guns he owned, his social media activity and internet use at home.

She’s also been accused of telling Mateen to say he was out with his friend, should his parents ask about his whereabouts.

Her lawyers are expected to speak later Wednesday, and have presented Salman as a ‘tortured wife’ whose husband told her ‘very few things’.

 

The US expels 60 Russian diplomats followed by Europe in an unprecedented show of support for Britain

President Trump on Monday ordered the expulsion of 60 Russian intelligence officers in the United States and the closure of the Russian consulate in Seattle in response to the nerve agent attack on an ex-Russian spy in the U.K. earlier this month, senior administration officials said.

The steps, following Britain’s expulsion of Russian diplomats, are meant to send a message to Moscow that actions have consequences, the officials said. The Seattle consulate is being closed because of its proximity to submarine bases, as well as Boeing.

“With these steps, the United States and our allies and partners make clear to Russia that its actions have consequences,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said. “The United States stands ready to cooperate to build a better relationship with Russia, but this can only happen with a change in the Russian government’s behavior.”

Russian diplomats were expelled from 14 EU states today in an unprecedented show of defiance to the Kremlin over the Salisbury attack.

EU Council President Donald Tusk revealed the coordinated action at a press conference in Bulgaria today.

Germany, France and Poland each expelled four diplomats, which Lithuania, Latvia and the Czech Republic also took action. Ukraine – not an EU state – joined the European revolt by expelling 13 diplomats.

Britain led the way in the aftermath of the March 4 attack by expelling 23 Russian diplomats from London. The Kremlin kicked out 23 Britons as a reprisal.

A spokesperson for Prime Minister Theresa May said she ‘welcomes the action by our allies’, adding that it demonstrates ‘we stand shoulder to shoulder in sending the strongest signal to Russia that it cannot continue to flout international law’.

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson hailed the ‘largest collective expulsion’ in history and said it would help defend our ‘shared security’.

Russia’s Foreign ministry slammed the ‘provocative’ expulsions and vowed to respond in kind.

US Ambassador Nikki Haley blasts UNHRC’s anti-Israel bias

The United States warned Friday that it was losing patience and again threatened to quit the UN Human Rights Council after the Geneva-based body adopted five resolutions condemning Israel.

The 47-member body ended its first and longest session of the year Friday by adopting five resolutions critical of Israel’s behavior toward the Palestinians or throwing support behind the long, fruitless Palestinian cause of statehood.

Another two “country-specific” resolutions focused on Syria, where hundreds of thousands have died in a civil war. South Sudan, Myanmar, Iran and North Korea garnered one each.

US Ambassador Nikki Haley said in a statement that the council was “grossly biased against Israel,” noting that it had adopted only three resolutions separately targeting North Korea, Iran and Syria.

“When the Human Rights Council treats Israel worse than North Korea, Iran, and Syria, it is the council itself that is foolish and unworthy of its name,” said Haley.

“Our patience is not unlimited. Today’s actions make clear that the organization lacks the credibility needed to be a true advocate for human rights,” she said.

Haley has over the past year repeatedly warned that the United States was ready to walk away from the 47-member body established in 2006 to promote and protect human rights worldwide.

The five resolutions were presented by the countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation under the council’s “agenda item 7” which concerns Israel.

Israel is the only country that has a dedicated agenda item at the council.

The UNHRC is notorious for its anti-Israel bias. Several months ago it began sending letters to companies in Israel and around the world, warning them that they are about to be added to a database of companies doing business in Israel.

The Human Rights Council voted to approve the database of companies in 2016, despite objections from the United States and Israel.

Legislation to sharply reduce the annual $300 million in US aid to the Palestinian Authority unless it take steps to stop payments that reward Muslim terrorists who murdered Israelis, is set to be passed by the US Congress this week as part of a major spending bill unveiled on Wednesday.

 

The measure, known as the Taylor Force Act, was named after a 29-year-old American military veteran fatally stabbed by a Muslim terrorist while visiting Israel in 2016.

The act is intended to stop the Palestinian Authority from paying stipends, referred to as “martyr payments,” to the families of terrorists eliminated or imprisoned by Israeli authorities. The payments can reach $3,500 a month.

Force’s terrorist was eliminated by the Israel Police, and his murderer’s family receives such a monthly payment.

US House of Representatives and Senate leaders reached an agreement on Wednesday on the massive omnibus spending bill, which they aim to pass by Friday night.

Force’s parents live in South Carolina, the home state of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who introduced the legislation.

“Passage of the Taylor Force Act will give us much needed leverage with the Palestinians to push back on this outrageous policy,” Graham said in a statement on Wednesday.

The measure has been working its way through Congress for some time. Despite the generally strong pro-Israel sentiment of most lawmakers, it was held up by the concern of some members of Congress that cutting too much aid could lead to increased Muslim unrest and instability.

Austin bomber blows himself up as police and FBI agents tried to arrest him

The Austin bomber is dead after blowing himself up as police and FBI agents tried to arrest him in the early hours of Wednesday.

The bomber, described as a 24-year-old white male, killed himself and injured an officer when he detonated a bomb inside his car as police surrounded him several miles north of the city.

Despite the death police have warned that more bombs could still be out there because they do not know where the bomber has been in the last 24 hours.

Two people were killed and six injured in a series of bombings that left Austin gripped in fear and stoked racial divisions in the city.

Investigators traced the so-called “Austin bomber” using mobile phone technology, footage from a previous attack and store receipts, according to local reports.

Police Chief Brian Manley said the suspect, whose name will not be released until next of kin are notified, suffered “significant injuries” from the blast inside his car.

He said cops zeroed in on the suspect in the last 24 to 36 hours, before pinning his position at a hotel on Interstate 35, in the Austin suburb of Round Rock.

The vehicle soon stopped in a ditch on the side of the road and, as the SWAT team approached, the suspect blew up the device inside the vehicle.

The force of the blast knocked one officer to the ground as another pulled out his weapon and opened fire.

Authorities say it’s too soon to know the suspect’s motive or whether he was working alone. FBI agent Chris Combs said he was concerned other explosive packages may be on the loose.

On Tuesday, police released CCTV footage purporting to show the bomber delivering a package to a Fedex shipping centre in San Antonio, where it later exploded.

The bomb inside the package exploded at around 1am as it passed along a conveyor belt at the FedEx shipping centre in Schertz, around 60 miles from Austin.

The first incident occurred on March 2 when a package bomb exploded at a northeast Austin home, killing a 39-year-old Anthony Stephan House.

Two more package bombs then exploded further south on March 12. Draylen Mason, 17, was killed and his mother was wounded after they opened a package in their kitchen.

A 75-year-old Hispanic woman named by family as Esperanza Herrera was severely injured when a package bomb exploded at her home a few hours later.

The trip wire explosion on Sunday came just hours after police made an unusual direct appeal to whomever was responsible for three package bombs that killed two in the past month.

Florida: Muslim teen-terrorist stabs 3 children, woman at sleepover because of ‘religious beliefs’

A Jupiter teen-terrorist said his Muslim faith led him to fatally stab a boy on his 13th birthday and injure two others at a sleepover Sunday night in BallenIsles Country Club, Palm Beach Gardens police said during a 2 p.m. news conference.

Muslim terrorist Corey Johnson, 17, was arrested Monday after he reportedly confessed to stabbing the three people while he spent the night at a friend’s home in the gated community off PGA Boulevard.

He faces one murder and two attempted-murder charges in the stabbings. The FBI also is investigating the attacks.

Also Tuesday, Judge Daliah H. Weiss ordered Johnson be held in a juvenile detention center while a grand jury decides whether to charge him as an adult in the killing.

Friends and family of the victims packed the juvenile courtroom Tuesday afternoon for the brief hearing.

Johnson, who police said recently withdrew from William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, told authorities he woke up at about 4 a.m. Monday at his friend Kyle Bancroft’s home. He decided to kill Kyle’s mother, Elaine Simon; Kyle’s brother, Dane, 13; and Dane’s friend, Jovanni Sierra, 13, while they slept, he said.

Dane reportedly had “made fun of” Johnson’s Islamic faith, the teen said, according to the police report. Jovanni Sierra, who turned 13 on Monday, referred to celebrities as “gods,” Johnson said. That upset him because it is contrary to the Islamic faith to idolize others as a god, he said.

Johnson and Kyle watched violent jihadist videos Sunday night, they said. Johnson stabbed Jovanni Sierra and slit his throat with a knife he had brought with him to the house.

Johnson said he read the Quran before going to the house. He turned to the Muslim book “to give him courage to carry out his intentions,” according to an arrest report.

Poland’s Foreign Minister confirms document revealing US-Polish strain over Holocaust denial law

Poland’s foreign minister on Friday acknowledged the existence of an internal ministry document that reveals tension in the U.S.-Polish relationship but denied Polish media suggestions that Washington is imposing “sanctions.”

The strains have emerged over new Polish legislation that downplay Poland’s role in Nazi atrocities and make the use of phrases such as “Polish Death Camps” to refer to the Polish death camps, punishable.

The U.S. fears it could violate free speech.

A Polish news portal, Onet.pl, reported earlier this week that it had seen an internal Foreign Ministry document from February. It said the document revealed that Warsaw was informed by the U.S. administration that the Polish president and prime minister should not expect meetings with the U.S. president or vice president until the matter is resolved.

Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz largely confirmed that on Friday, though he characterized the U.S. message as being: “It would be good if meetings at the highest level could take place in an atmosphere when these issues are resolved.”

He stressed that there was no mention of sanctions and denied the U.S. position as meaning that diplomatic ties are somehow “frozen,” as some reports claimed. Czaputowicz’s characterization seems confirmed by a number of meetings that have taken place in recent weeks between U.S. and Polish officials in both Washington and Warsaw.

“There is nothing in it that could raise concerns,” Czaputowicz said of the document.

He also said prosecutors are investigating the leak of the document, “which should not have been made available to journalists.”

The legislation has drawn widespread international criticism and ignited an unprecedented diplomatic row with Israel.

Israel have expressed concerns that the legislation could open the door to prosecuting Holocaust survivors for their testimony should it concern the involvement of individual Poles in killing or giving up Jews to the Germans.

PM Netanyahu said that Israel has “no tolerance for the distortion of the truth, the rewriting of history and the denial of the Holocaust.”

An Argentinian newspaper has become the first outlet to be targeted by Poland’s new Holocaust denial law, after a nationalist group filed a case hours after the legislation went live.

Yair Lapid, the chairman of the Yesh Atid party, is opposed to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s decision to negotiate with the Polish prime minister on the “Polish Law.”

“There is no negotiating over the memory of those who perished. This law should simply be buried in the soil of Poland, which is saturated with the blood of Jews,” Lapid said.
