At least 15 people have been injured, and three are in critical condition, after two Muslim terrorists detonated a bomb in a restaurant near Toronto, Canada.
The terror attack took place just after 10.30pm local time at an Indian restaurant in Mississauga, some 20 miles from Toronto, Ontario.
Authorities said ‘two hooded suspects’ walked into the Bombay Bhel restaurant and detonated the improvised explosive device before fleeing the scene.
Local police say the two Muslim terrorists appeared to have walked in, dropped off the bomb, and then quickly left the scene.
‘We have no indication to call it a hate crime or any kind of terrorism act,’ Peel Region Sgt. Matt Bertram said.
Eyewitnesses describe chaos with injured guests and panicked families fleeing the restaurant, where some had reportedly been holding a child’s birthday party.
Fifteen people were taken to hospital, three of them with critical injuries, the Peel Regional Paramedic Service said in a Tweet.
Police posted a CCTV image on Twitter appealing to the public for help in identifying the two men.
The photo shows two Muslim terrorists with dark zip-up hoodies walking into an establishment with one of them appearing to be carrying an object.
The first terrorist is said to be a male about 5’10 to six feet tall with a stocky build. Police said he appears to be in his mid-20s with light skin and was wearing dark blue jeans, a dark zip-up hoodie pulled over his head, a baseball hat and a black cloth covering his face.
The second terrorist is also said to be a male about 5’9 to 5’10 with fair skin, thin build and was wearing faded blue jeans with a dark zip-up hoodie covering his head, a grey t-shirt and his face covered.
