Security forces came under attack by Muslim terrorists in Shechem as Jews pray at Joseph’s Tomb

The IDF, Border Police and the Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria secured the entry of about 1,000 worshipers to Joseph’s Tomb in Shechem.

During the forces’ entry into Shechem, Muslim terrorists threw at them an explosive device. There were no casualties and no damage. The IDF arrested three Muslim terrorists and found weapons, including ammunition clips, bullets and a knife on the roof of one of the houses.

Violent Muslim riots broke out during the withdrawal of forces from Shechem. IDF responded with riot dispersal methods to disperse the riots.

The IDF arrested 8 Muslim terrorists overnight in Judea and Samaria, who were wanted for involvement in lone wolf terror attacks and violent disorders directed against civilians and security personnel.

In addition, IDF forces found and seized and M-16 machine gun and ammunitions in overnight counter-terrorism operations in Hevron.
